I'm really hoping to get my brain in gear in time to participate in this wave, but I can tell you that if we go with darkfic, I'll neither write nor even read this wave, because I just don't do darkfic... hmm, that sounds kind of threatening or something, that's not how I mean it, sorry! :-)

A preference between the rest isn't leaping out at the moment...

I don't think I can do "drunk" or "kink", and spring just isn't the time for a "dark" fic, is it?

Unfortunately I'm not sure I'll be able to make the challenge at all (even though I want to and will try!). I just have this resolution that I want to finish (at least in draft) two of my three Moonridge fics before I commit to any more challenges...

But if I get a vote anyway, I'd like us to go with "loves".

Hm, tricky! I like all of these (especially the first three).

However, I'd prefer to see the next challenge be all-inclusive, and I think 'dark' and 'kink' might put some writers off. So I will say 'drunk' as my first choice, followed by 'loves'.

I'm going to vote for Kink and plug it, but only if we're actually going to use eliade's list and people can pick their prompts (maybe combine three?). Wait, hear me out. I love her list so much, so if you've never seen it go check it out. It's not a sexual kink list (although those are included) so much as a story kink list. Hurt/Comfort, Angst, and Romance are included and there are dozens and dozens of prompts that can be written as gen, romance or kinky. Just three as an example:

Trust and vows (promises are kept or broken; loyalty or betrayal; absolute trust or doubt; fidelity or infidelity; blindfolds or bondage as trust symbols; commitment or fear of commitment; acts of devotion; marriage vows; unconditional love; blood brothers and oaths; showing trust/faith in someone's abilities)

Touching (stroking and caressing; cuddling or nuzzling; huddling for warmth; hugging; holding hands in public; touching as UST; brief brushes of contact either deliberate or accidental; PDAs; thighs brushing under a table; comic physical entanglements; someone gripping a wounded character's hand)

Talking and communication issues (dirty talk or verbal seduction; sweet talking; reciting poetry; talking someone to orgasm; talking during sex; pillow talk; phone sex; speech becoming broken as one is aroused or upset; being inarticulate or articulate; aphasia; talking fast; miscommunication and misunderstandings in general; lack of a shared language; see also Silence; Clams; Voice fetishization)

I'd say loves first, then kink if we can use Carodee's suggestion, then drunk, and I'd rather not do dark at all.

Like others, I'd like to participate, but it will depend on how much I get done on my Moonridge committments in the near future...

How did I miss this? I was just stopping by to check out the date of the last story...

Anyway, I'm with the others; I have no interest in writing 'dark'; any of the others would be okay, with a slightly stronger feeling for the rounds of kink.

BUT -- I really need to finish my Moonridge fic, too, so I probably won't participate. My winner waited through Secret Santa, I feel like I shouldn't put her on the back burner again.
